SME Instrument: Support from CC Schweiz

Since 1 January 2017, Swiss SMEs have also been able to benefit from direct funding as part of the European Horizon 2020 programme. The SME Instrument facilitates the direct funding of innovative projects within SMEs, without the need for additional project partners. This makes the SME Instrument extremely attractive, however as a result just a small number of the submitted proposals can be approved. External support with the submission process can be very beneficial, particularly for companies that have little or no experience with submitting proposals for EU funding.

For this reason, CC Schweiz has put together an attractive proposal for CC Schweiz members, in collaboration with the Spanish company Evolution Europe, which has many years' experience of the SME Instrument. Evolution Europe will support you throughout the entire duration of the project – from creation of the concept through to the completion of all project phases.

The SME Instrument includes three project phases, whereby financial support is only granted for the first two:

Phase 1:     Feasibility assessment/feasibility study. Supported by a lump sum payment of €50,000. As part of this feasibility assessment, the proposal for Phase 2 should also be prepared.

Phase 2:     Innovation project. Funding can be granted ranging from €500,000 to €2,500,000.

The package offered by Evolution Europe includes the following services:

  • Pre-assessment of your project idea (one-page standard form) by the internal Evaluation Board
  • Creation of the submission for Phase 1 (or directly for Phase 2), including advice upon the selection of the funding concept with the most potential
  • Creation of the proposal for Phase 2
  • Project support

As a member of CC Schweiz, you receive 10% discount off the services offered by Evolution Europe for the Phase 1 proposal submission.

If you are interested or have further questions on these funding options, please contact the CC Schweiz offices (e-mail, tel. 052 520 74 00), in order to benefit from this proposal.
